Design Manager

Design Manager for the in-house marketing agency at Cerner, a $5.1 billion publicly traded healthcare technology company.  I was responsible for the creative direction of print and multimedia marketing materials across the organization and led a team of designers that developed world-class visuals created to deliver on stated objectives and to reinforce Cerner's brand identity.
Visually supported internal and external marketing initiatives
•  Developed and executed marketing strategies within Web design, motion graphics, corporate video, sales presentations, advertisements, event signage, and corporate collateral
•  Worked closely with co-founder, and late Cerner CEO, Neal Patterson to create his keynote presentations delivered each year at the Cerner Health Conference (hired as a freelance consultant after employment to continue work on keynotes from 2007 – 2010)
•  Previous to becoming Design Manager held the role of Multimedia Designer, manipulating typography, graphics, video, animation, and programming languages to visually communicate marketing messages through a variety of online and offline media
Managed Print and Multimedia creative resources
•  Hired professionals in a variety of creative disciplines to build a comprehensive design team
•  Worked with Cerner Human Resources to develop a career path for creatives who operated outside of the companies core business model
•  Held annual and semi-annual personnel reviews
•  Scheduled and distributed project requests
•  Established a network of vendors and other outside resources to complement internal creative service offerings
